Determination of Coal Cutting Forces Using the Cutting Head of POU-BW/01-WAP Device

Abstract The paper presents a method for measuring and recording the forces involved in coal cutting process. Moreover, visualization of all process was described. In following part, construction principle operation device determination (coal mining), referred to by author as POU-BW/01-WAP, are presented. Resistance extensometry used measure forces. This is only world that determines two three force components take part For this purpose, independent blocks were used, which strain gauges force: (F s ) knife pressure d ). order register these forces, real mining longwall shearer drums applied – i.e. tangential-rotary. equipment has ATEX certificate allowing conditions intended use potentially explosive atmospheres accordance with directive 94/9/EC. It received many awards at fairs inventions innovative solutions.
